Shanna Kress and John Matijas, highly active content creators on social media, are followed by nearly 4 million people. Together, they launched Fitness Camp, a rapidly growing fitness program.

For this back-to-school season, they cleverly adapted the theme to “Back to Sport.” Through an interactive and innovative contest, they aimed to reach a wide audience and boost engagement around the launch of this new program.

The contest, inspired by the iconic Hangman game, attracted over 23,000 players thanks to a sports-themed back-to-school prize of €1,000 and the chance to win the fitness program. The attractive rewards created a “wow” effect, instantly capturing participants’ attention.

Promotion also played a key role: accessible via a URL, the contest was advertised through a newsletter and targeted ads on Instagram, maximizing its reach and engagement.

Players had to guess four words at different stages of the campaign: the setting (a classroom), the new activity (dance), the names of the coaches (Aurélie & Kass) and the name of the program (Back to Sport).

The 11 players who guessed all four words the fastest won the rewards, with very close results, decided by a margin of milliseconds.

With over 23,000 qualified leads, 52% of which were new leads, the contest significantly expanded Fitness Camp’s community.

At the end of each word guessed, participants were redirected to an automated WhatsApp conversation. The chatbot facilitated audience segmentation, delivered personalized messages and provided instant responses, thereby strengthening engagement throughout the campaign.
